How to make your website images lighter
Resize images to the width they're shown at, then convert them with PNG to WEBP.
Start with the size
An image 4000 pixels wide shown at 800 is wasting most of its weight. Resize first, since it saves more than any format change.
Then change format
WEBP at quality 80 usually looks fine and keeps transparency.
