Remove EXIF data

Remove EXIF data before you share a photo. Location, camera details and dates go, and the picture stays exactly the same.

Drop your files here

Accepted: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp. Up to 50 files, 100 MB each, 300 MB in total.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to remove EXIF data

  1. Add your photos.
  2. Press Start.
  3. Download the clean copies.

What's hidden in a photo

Phones can save the exact GPS location, the date, and the device in every picture. Anyone with the file can read it. Many social networks strip it, but email and file sharing usually don't. When you add a photo, we list what we found in it, so you can see before you clean it.

No quality loss

We remove the metadata from the file directly, and never re-save the image. The rotation note is kept, so your photo stays the right way up. We also drop anything attached after the image, such as the video part of a motion photo.

Formats and limits

It'll take 50 files, 100 MB each and 300 MB in all. On phones the limit is 25 files. It works on JPG, PNG and WEBP. Convert HEIC to JPG first.
